(Voorschoten/Leiden, 1980 – 1982)
Meaning Bandname: Made up by Dick. It had to be something shocking towards the church community with a wink. The logo has an inverted cross and harp (that stands for the lovely and romantic psalms).
Bio: Formed in January 1980. Influenced by drills, beer, comics and superhero’s. Have 10 own songs (“Heroes” on the Batman tune, “Wiegel” – a very conservative politician, “Beatrix” – after a very turbulant coronation she became the queen of the Netherlands) and 1 cover by the Sods (“Television Sect”). Practise in a squat which was a maritime school and called by the squatters “KWJ “. At the Lindehoeve concert there was a guest guitarplayer for the first song. Casper who focused more on school, is replaced in the summer of 1980 by Ruud. Camille who wanted to be more active with his other band Neo Neurotics, is replaced by Mike in the same period. After a long search, they started rehearsing in the Rode Kruis Gebouw [Red Cross Building] in Voorschoten in October 1980. In this lineup there were no concerts. After a while Ruud, who lived in Leiden, and Fred leave the band. With a new singer and Mike also doing bass parts on his guitar, they went on until 1982. From this last lineup is a recording when they played in the LVC. When Mike wanted to play synthesizer oriented music, the band broke up.
